I was born in Orlando, FL into a Mexican-American family and able to speak English and Spanish Fluently. Having the ability of fluently speaking two languages I believe is important now days. I can communicate with a broader range of people and help company's achieve what they want from a financial perspective. I pursed an accounting and finance degree because I want to make an impact in business and help businesses achieve great heights and make them successful. I know that business is used every day and everything we do on a daily basis, one way or another is business related. So that is another reason why I got into the business field because every day can be different and every day can be a new challenge. Challenges are something that I enjoy because it helps me grow and become not only a better professional but a better person.
On my extra time I enjoy watching and playing soccer. I have played soccer since I've been three years old and the sport is something I am very passionate about. I have always played at a high competitive level so I know what it is like to compete with the best. Soccer has also taught me the value of team work. I know the importance of not only involving others, but also inputting my own work into a collective effort to get the best result possible. Soccer has also taught me how to be a leader and how to be an example for others. Being captain has a lot of responsibility and has some pressure of always performing at ones best. That pressure and expectation I am very familiar and comfortable with. I am also a Chelsea FC fan. I have supported the club ever since I can remember so I also know how to be a dedicated and loyal person.
I played for my high school at Bishop Moore Catholic High School and also in the academy of QPR, a professional team in England, when I lived in Orlando, FL. Having the experience with playing in an academy for a professional team in England, I believe, shows that I have character and that I'm driven and determined to being the best that I can be. I was always expected to play at the highest level and had pressure performing at my best at all times. Playing at that level has shown me that I am capable of achieving great things in my life and I know I can translate that into my professional life as well.
I also enjoy listening to all sorts of music anywhere from classical music for relaxation, to techno, as well as Spanish music. Another activity I enjoy to do is watch movies. My favorite movie genre is comedy because we cannot always take life too seriously and sometimes we need to let loose and enjoy life. So I think laughing is important to keep a healthy balanced life. I also enjoy going to art museums. My favorite museum here in Dallas would have to be Dallas Museum of Art because it has many interesting exhibits.
